The best way to install Bootstrap and working with VS would be installing it with NUGet

1. Create a new Project, (ASP.net WebForm Project)

2. Open Package Manager Console and type

3. All bootstrap files should now be added in in project:

We would also require to add following JS files :

<!– JavaScript plugins (requires jQuery) –>
   <script src=”http://code.jquery.com/jquery.js”></script>
<!– Include all compiled plugins (below), or include individual files as needed –>
   <script src=”js/bootstrap.min.js”></script>

<!– Optionally enable responsive features in IE8 –>
   <script src=”js/respond.js”></script>

Now we can continue to edit our template. You can continue to Getting Started .

The current release of the bootstrap is : http://blog.getbootstrap.com/2013/07/27/bootstrap-3-rc1/
